Die Schweiz ist an Erdgas aus Aserbaidschan interessiert. Nach Bundespräsident Pascal Couchepin am Vortag hat auch Energieminister Moritz Leuenberger am WEF in Davos den aserbaidschanischen Präsidenten Ilham Alijew getroffen.

[sda] - Vor den Medien bekundete Leuenberger den Willen der Schweiz, sich dem Gas-Pipelineprojekt anzuschliessen, das den Iran, Aserbaidschan, Georgien und die Türkei mit Westeuropa verbindet. Dazu führte der Bundesrat auch Gespräche mit seinem türkischen Amtskollegen Hilmi Güler.

Der Vorsteher des Eidg. Departements für Umwelt, Verkehr, Energie und Kommunikation (UVEK) unterzeichnete zudem gemeinsam mit Aserbeidschans Kommunikationsminister Ali Abbasow eine Absichtserklärung über eine stärkere Zusammenarbeit beider Staaten bei der Kommunikationstechnologie. Dabei geht es unter anderem um Internetsicherheit und die elektronische Verwaltung (eGovernment).

Auch bei den übrigen fünf Bundesräten stand der Freitag am Weltwirtschaftsforum (WEF) in Davos im Zeichen der Wirtschaft. Bundespräsident Pascal Couchepin brachte ein Freihandelsabkommen zwischen der EFTA und Malaysia auf den Tisch. Ausserdem traf Couchepin mit dem afghanischen Präsidenten Hamid Karsai zusammen.

Wirtschaftsministerin Doris Leuthard nahm an einem Treffen mit den Präsidenten der multilateralen Entwicklungsbanken unter der Führung von Weltbank-Präsident Robert Zoellick teil. Die Gespräche drehten sich um den Klimawandel, namentlich die Auswirkungen der Umweltkonferenz von Bali.

Aussenministerin Micheline Calmy-Rey kam zu einem Arbeitsessen mit UNO-Generalsekretär Ban Ki Moon zusammen. Daran nahmen auch die im Global Compact engagierten Wirtschaftsakteure teil. Themen waren das Engagement der Wirtschaftsführer für Menschenrechte, Umweltschutz und Korruptionsbekämpfung, wie das Aussendepartement mitteilte.

Finanzminister Hans-Rudolf Merz kam mit Microsoft-Gründer Bill Gates zusammen. Ein weiteres Treffen gab es mit IWF-Direktor Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

oke....was genau aber hat das WEF jetzt gebracht? Resultate? steht ja nur dass sie diskutieren..ich will facts...und hätte bill gates dies 306 mio. dollar nicht auch ohne das wef gespendet??

Nichts erreicht? Meinste Irgendein Mensch gibt x-Tausend Stutz für ein Treffen aus, wo seit Jahren nix erreicht wird?? Geben deswegen Firmen soviel für Schnittstellenmanagement, Organisationsreformierungen, Innovationsmanagement, Netzwerkunterstützungen aus, weil dadurch nix erreicht wird?

Und zu deiner Kritik, dass ohne das Wef, dieselben Effekte stattgefunden hätten: Ohne die UEFA würde wahrscheinlich auch Fussball gespielt! Was ist denn das für ein Argument?

gutes argument...doch deine "Fragen" sind keine Antworten.

... man.. das nennt man Ironie! Wenn in einer Aussage, bzw. einer Frage wie hier, eine indirekte Antwort auf deine Frage besteht. Die Antwort liegt quasi in der Frage selbst.

Und für die, die die Ironie der Sache nicht verstehen, hab ich unter den "Gegenfragen bzw. Antworten" noch viele "Facts" angehängt, die auf der WEF seite mit dem Quellencode verifizierbar sind...

ich habe zwar nicht alles im Detail gelesen, aber Thomas sollte schon auch fairness üben, weil Roger hat recht in seiner Beurteilung, zumindest hat er gute Argumente, was bei Thomas einwenig aus dem Ärmel geschüttelt scheint. Thomas bitte mehr Gehirnschmalz, nicht nur HOPP YB, das ist zwar auch Teil vom Leben, aber Fairness und Denken auch......

Antiwef bewegig isch guet, sogar mire meinig na. In zürich isch übrigens dr stiglitz gsi. är het grosskonzerne, d multis kritisiert für ihri lahmarschigi hautig i de grössere Weltproblem (z.bsp. hunger und malaria etc...)

Antiwef bewegig isch aber verschisse, we me vo vornherein d globalisierig usschliesst. We me d Globalisierig stoppe würd oder sogar Rückgängig mache würd, würd a dene lüt wo das veranlasse, bluet vo x-100-millione mönsche läbä, wo kläglech verhungere u verrecke.

I dänke viu si Anti-Wef igsteut wüu si dr Kapitalismus nid verstö und angst drvor hei. Dr Fakt isch nun mau leider, dass no Niemer und Nüt (ou nid gott!) soviu Mönsche vorem Tot bewahrt het wie dr Kapitalismus, siehe Beitrag im Forum: der Welt geht es immer besser!.
